A 10-year-old girl is at the Alberta Children’s Hospital recovering from serious injuries after being bucked of a horse near Didsbury.

STARS transported the girl to Calgary by helicopter just before noon on Thursday; the girl was considered to have potentially life-threatening injuries.

A spokesperson tells The Calgary Herald she was riding a rather large horse, 14 hands high, and it’s unknown if she was riding alone or with supervision.
