A man in his 70s is in critical, life-threatening condition after he was hit in the head while cutting trees in the southwest.
Duty Insp. Paul Stacey says the work crew was pruning trees in front of a senior’s complex in the 4900 block of 45 St. S.W. when a strap that was holding together two trees snapped and hit him in the head.
The accident happened at around 4:40 p.m. Friday.
Occupational Health and Safety is investigating.
