Green Light Therapy is a welcome advancement in medicine for those who suffer from an enlarged prostate.

Doctor Kevin Zorn, a urologist from Montreal says it involves a green laser light that is used to remove any blockages quickly and safely.

He tells 660News, until recently, traditional surgery was quite invasive and meant a four to five day hospital stay, but Green Light surgery does away with all that and means same day surgery and the ability to treat patients with underlying medical conditions.

The procedure is available across Canada including Calgary and Edmonton and has been done routinely since 2000.
