If you’re looking for a parking spot near the Stampede grounds, you can help STARS Air Ambulance at the same time.

They have a pair of $15 dollar parking lots in operation.

Communications Coordinator David Fairbanks tells 660News all $15 goes straight to STARS with the Calgary Civic Union Coalition collecting your money.

“We thank them because in 19 years they’ve raised $423,000 for STARS,” explains Fairbanks.

“This being the 100th anniversary, they’ve got more spots, they’re trying to get everyone to park for STARS and they’re hoping to hit the $500,000 mark this year.

You can find the lots at the south end of Stampede Park.  

One is near the cemetery on Spiller Road and the other near the Water Centre on 25th avenue.  

Shuttle buses will then take you to the grounds.
