Murder charges have been laid against a Lethbridge man following the weekend’s double homicide in that city.

Police say the deaths of 35-year-old Marty Leon Steele and 30-year-old Aaron Louis Thacker were drug related.

Early Sunday morning, the two were found stabbed to death in the Adam’s Ice Centre Park, near a walking path.

28-year-old Cody Blue Favel has been charged with two counts of second degree murder along with robbery and weapons related offences.
