Air Canada baggage handlers have walked off the job at Pearson International Airport in Toronto.

Our sister station 680News, in Toronto received several phone calls, Thursday evening, reporting the handlers gathered as a group and just left the airport together.

There have also been some comments on Twitter as some passengers are reporting Air Canada gate agents have walked off the job and planes are not de-boarding.

The Greater Toronto Airport Authority media has confirmed that a wildcat strike with Air Canada ground employees has taken place.

There has been no official confirmation of the actions from Air Canada.
