It’s the campaign bus picture that’s trending across Canada.

The Wildrose Party unveiled the green bus Monday morning at the legislature along with a full slate of 87 candidates, but all anyone is talking about is the picture of leader Danielle Smith on the bus.

The large picture of Smith is near the back of the bus, with the two rear wheels over her chest.

The party has decided to take the bus back for a new paint job.

Mount Royal University Political Science Professor Duane Bratt says the old rule, any publicity is good publicity, doesn’t apply here.

“It’s going to get a lot of attention from non-traditional news sources, so all the morning show, rock stations et cetera. are going to be playing this, but are they saying I’m going to vote for her,” said Bratt.

Bratt can’t believe the party or the people who painted the bus didn’t notice the unfortunate placement of the photo.
