The Calgary Parking Authority (CPA) says 90 per cent of people complied with the snow route parking ban, but there were still over 1,300 tickets handed out Tuesday.
CPA manager Troy McLeod said Wednesday that’s a significant improvement over the last time a parking ban was called, when 4,000 warnings were issued.
“Many Calgarians are getting used to the new parking ban for snow events and thankfully this year we’ve had excellent weather; we’ve only had two parking bans,” said McLeod.
He added, the CPA is open discussing how to improve policy implementation in a meeting Thursday with the traffic department.
