A coalition of 19 Alberta business associations and groups is encouraging the Federal and Provincial government’s to work with industry to address the growing need of workers.

The Alberta government is forecasting there will be 114-thousand more jobs than people to fill them in the coming years.

Richard Truscott with the Canadian Federation of Independent Business tells 660News, it’s imperative new strategies and policies are drawn up to address the looming labour shortage.

Truscott says failure to attracted the right employees for tomorrow will have a dramatic and negative impact on all sectors of the Alberta economy.
