One-third of Canadians expect year-end bonus

A new BMO poll shows nearly one third of working Canadians expect a year-end bonus.

And while a majority nationally say it will be the same or more than last year, Albertans in particular are expecting that bonus to increase, at 40 per cent.

That’s much higher than in any other part of the country.

Only five per cent of Albertans who think they’re getting a bonus say it will likely shrink, which is the lowest number Canada-wide.

Most say they’ll use it to pay down household debt and to buy Christmas gifts.
