The latest survey of Calgarians’ likes and dislikes is out; the city’s overall score is up from B- last year to B+ this year.

Kerry Longpre with The Calgary Foundation, which has put together the vital signs report for the past five years, says difficulty getting around is a major concern for most people.

“That includes public transit access and affordability, and the commute times and congestion,” she says.

The two other major concerns of Calgarians: housing both for those buying and renting and environmental sustainability.

Longpre says people are very aware of the impact urban sprawl is having on the environment and the economy.

More details about the vital signs report including information on how people can get involved and make a difference will be released later Tuesday.
