Montreal goaltender Carey Price is heading into Sunday’s Heritage Classic with a brand new piece of equipment.
His new mask is actually a throw back to the good old days and legend Jacques Plante, the first goalie in the NHL to wear a mask.
Price says a Toronto artist made the mask for him.
“My artist came up with that and a buddy of mine. They came up with the idea to make an old-school mask, with my ears and stuff on the side. It actually turned out pretty good, I thought,” he says.
Price plans to sell the mask after the game to raise money for charity.
