Researcher quashes dry cold vs. wet cold debate

A retired weather scientist for the Department of National Defence says despite claims to the contrary, people cannot easily detect the difference between a dry cold and a wet cold.

Randall Osczevski points out the air’s ability to hold moisture at a certain temperature is pretty much the same in Calgary, Toronto or Vancouver.

He tells the National Post, what really makes a difference are factors like wind chill or sunshine.
