Record cold temps set in Alberta

A recent blast of winter weather may be on the way out, but it’s going out in style.
At least half-a-dozen low temperature records were set again early Wednesday morning in Alberta.
The coldest temperature was -37 degrees Celsius at Sundre. That beats the previous record low by six degrees.
There’s also a blizzard warning in southwestern Alberta.
All day Wednesday the wind is expected to be strong enough to generate blizzard conditions in Crowsnest Pass, Waterton, and Pincher Creek.
But the weather is expected to improve overnight, and temperatures Thursday could get much closer to zero.
