Calaway Park offers new attractions for expected crowds

Calgarians’ playcation destination is ready for its 29th season.

Calaway Park, just west of the city, is open from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. this Victoria Day long weekend and the weather doesn’t seem to be slowing down the enthusiasm of the crowds.

Bob Williams with the park tells 660News, there are some new thrills like the Baja Buggies, a kiddie off-road adventure that simulates a dune buggy going over sand.

Another new ride is the Aeromax, which feels like the family is in a crop duster plane that goes up in the air, then swings around providing for a unique sensation.

Calaway Park expects to see between five and six thousand people per day over the weekend.
