Fatal weekend on Alberta highways

Three people were killed Sunday on highways across the province.

At around 4:00 p.m. a pick-up truck veered off Highway 2 near High River, killing the man behind the wheel.

Earlier in the day, a semi collided with a pick-up northwest of Edmonton. The truck burst into flames, killing the driver.

A blockade was then set up for the police investigation and a short time later a worker, helping to re-direct traffic, was hit and killed by another pick-up truck.

Heavy fog is being blamed for the crashes.
