Two people from Calgary have been killed in a crash involving three tractor-trailers on the Trans Canada highway 25 kilometres east of Revelstoke, BC.

RCMP confirm the crash happened early Wednesday morning when an eastbound truck hauling an empty trailer, veered across the centre line.

Reports indicate the trucker had been driving erratically before the unit crossed into the path of an oncoming semi.  The wreckage was then hit by a third rig.

Both Calgary men in the eastbound tractor-trailer died at the scene. No one else was hurt.

The victims have not been identified, but investigators say one was 29-years-old and the other was 39.
