City police have searched another apartment building in connection with an ongoing investigation into prostitution.
Officers searched a suite in the 200 block of 6th Avenue S.E. on Wednesday where they found two people inside. One of the individuals is a Canadian resident while the other is a foreign national who has since been turned over to Canada Border Services.
Neither has been charged.
Investigators believe the apartment was used as a base to make sex-trade appointments.
Police seized a number of phones and computers which they believe were used to post prostitution-related ads on the internet.
The search was a result of a recent investigation into a hair
salon called ‘Alternative Hair Design’ in the city’s Northwest earlier this month.
One person in that case was charged with several offences, including ‘human trafficking.’
