Southbound Deerfoot Trail partially reopened

Police have reopened two of three southbound lanes of Deerfoot Trail at Highway 22X.
A spectacular crash closed the major thoroughfare for more than seven hours Thursday.
A semi rolled shortly before 1:30 p.m., spilling its load of lumber onto the roadway.
Callers to 660News reported seeing the semi flip and also say another car was involved in the crash.
EMS confirms to 660News two people were taken to hospital in serious but stable condition. The driver of the semi had to be extricated from the cab of the truck by firefighters.
